About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the development and delivery of risk reporting, senior management information, analytics and data-driven insights across Apex Group
Contribute to and oversee global and local risk reporting and management information across Apex jurisdictions
Provide insight, trend analysis and risk intelligence to identify emerging risks and support strategic decision making
Develop and enhance Group Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), including reporting via Power BI visualisation dashboards
Drive transformation of risk data, reporting and analytics through AI capabilities
Design and implement scalable reporting solutions using Power BI and other reporting technologies
Improve data quality, governance and reporting processes
Identify opportunities to automate reporting, streamline workflows and enhance analytical capabilities
Develop and maintain AI-enabled reporting, analytics and workflow solutions
Promote responsible use of Artificial Intelligence through governance, controls and best practices
Act as a subject matter expert on AI tools, prompt engineering and emerging technologies
Support issue and action owners with timely reporting and monitoring of remediation activities
Provide reporting and insight to Boards, Committees and senior management forums
Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Technology, Operations and the wider business
Promote a strong risk culture and act as a role model for Apex Behaviours and Values
Support ad-hoc functional and groupwide projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience within financial services, risk management, data analytics or reporting environments
Strong understanding of risk management, governance and reporting frameworks
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex data sets
Proven experience producing high-quality reporting for senior stakeholders
Strong Power BI skills, including dashboard development, data modelling and visualisation
Experience in reporting automation, business intelligence and data transformation initiatives
Knowledge of data governance, data quality and reporting controls
Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI and their practical application within reporting and analytics
Experience using Microsoft Copilot, AI assistants and workflow automation tools
Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI principles and prompt engineering techniques
SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases would be advantageous
Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
Proven ability to operate effectively within a global organisation and manage multiple priorities
