About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collect and analyze metrics and requirements from supported organizations
  • Develop elements of program acquisition strategies
  • Support and/or conduct portions of market research
  • Maintain program information and organize data for management decision-making
  • Prepare reports and briefings on program status, policies, procedures, and acquisition milestones
  • Support cost/benefit analysis
  • Analyze program effectiveness and efficiency and develop recommendations
  • Assist with data calls and inquiries on program policies and procedures
  • Participate in requirements development with Senior Managers and Government counterparts
  • Monitor program compliance with policies and procedures
  • Assist in managing program cost, schedule, performance, and risks; formulate mitigations
  • Coordinate program information with internal and external stakeholders
  • Interpret regulations and directives and determine program impacts
  • Determine requirements and develop program goals and objectives
  • Support program execution and modifications to policies and procedures
  • Research and help eliminate program bottlenecks and production barriers
  • Oversee resource allocation based on program requirements
  • Draft fiscal-year spend plans to meet OSD goals
  • Draft program documentation based on ACAT-level designation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility
  • DAWIA Advanced Equivalency (DAWIA Level III equivalent) in Engineering, Program Management, or Science and Technology (S&T)
  • Minimum of 10 years working in DoD acquisition programs
  • Maritime Acquisition Program Management experience
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques of fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex contracting problems, and ability to develop concrete action plans
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System as directed by DoD Instruction 5000.02, “Operation of the Defense Acquisition System”
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition Framework process
  • Knowledge of SOF-unique acquisition processes desired
