About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collect and analyze metrics and requirements from supported organizations
  • Develop elements of program acquisition strategies
  • Support and conduct portions of market research
  • Keep program information current and organize data for management decision-making
  • Prepare reports and briefings on program status, policies, and procedures in support of acquisition program milestones
  • Support cost/benefit analysis
  • Analyze program effectiveness and efficiency and develop recommendations to improve operations
  • Answer data calls and inquiries on program policies and procedures
  • Participate in requirements development for senior managers and government counterparts
  • Monitor programs for compliance with policies and procedures
  • Manage program cost, schedule, performance, and risks; formulate proposed mitigations
  • Coordinate program information with personnel
  • Interpret regulations and directives to determine program impact
  • Determine requirements and develop goals and objectives to accomplish the mission
  • Support government counterparts in executing programs according to plans and modifying policies and procedures based on regulatory changes
  • Research ways to eliminate program bottlenecks and production barriers and support solutions to program issues
  • Oversee resource allocation based on program requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility
  • DAWIA Advanced Equivalency (formerly Level III) in the Program Management, Engineering & Technical Management, or Test & Evaluation fields, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire with customer deferral
  • Bachelor’s degree in acquisition/business or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in DoD Acquisition Program Management
  • Demonstrated experience in a DoD Program Management role requiring in-depth resource/financial management expertise and familiarity with DoD Financial Management systems and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience preparing budgets for DoD acquisition programs, including budget exhibits and Congressional briefings
  • Demonstrated experience preparing Program Object Memorandum submissions and briefings for DoD Acquisition programs
  • Experience with coordination and integration across multiple programs (cross-program/horizontal integration)
