About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, development, and implementation of secure system architectures and engineering solutions for information systems
- Apply engineering principles, security standards, and best practices to harden systems and networks against cyber threats
- Participate in requirements analysis, system trade studies, and risk analyses focused on cybersecurity posture
- Support accreditation and assessment activities, providing technical artifacts and engineering input to RMF and other security processes
- Prepare and present technical reports, briefings, and documentation on security engineering designs, risks, and mitigations
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to journeyman and junior cyber engineering staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a US citizen
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
- CISSP or DoD 8140-compliant certification (e.g., other IAM/IASAE category certifications)
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the cybersecurity or information systems engineering functional area
- Master’s degree in a field relevant to cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, engineering, or related discipline, or qualifying experience substitution
- Demonstrated experience performing complex, mission-critical cybersecurity engineering tasks
- Experience leading technical efforts
- Experience supporting DoD or similar programs
- Ability to work on-site at Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio
