About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and analyze mechanical systems for new and existing facilities
- Develop specifications, drawings, and calculations for HVAC, fluid systems, and other mechanical systems
- Conduct trade studies and cost-benefit analyses to determine optimal mechanical solutions
- Coordinate with electrical, civil, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated designs
- Support risk assessments and performance evaluations of mechanical systems
- Prepare and present technical documentation and reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a US citizen
- TS/SCI clearance
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in mechanical engineering or closely related functional area
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Demonstrated experience in facility mechanical system design and analysis, preferably supporting DoD or similar missions
