About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, prepare, and analyze planning, requirements, design, support, and test documentation, including source code and configuration files
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
- Document and demonstrate solutions through documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending policy and procedure changes
- Provide subject matter expertise on the nuclear command and control planning process
- Instruct and evaluate USSTRATCOM directorates
- Collect, analyze, and summarize development and service issues
- Perform Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure software meets defined or standardized quality specifications
- Work as a member of an agile software development team
- Elaborate high-level feature/function descriptions into detailed technical designs and tasks with users and government lead engineers
- Perform data validation, verification, and corrections
- Perform coding tasks for functional and performance tests
- Perform peer design and code reviews
- Perform additional software engineering and documentation tasks as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a US citizen
- Must possess a Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control/Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2/ESI), and Alternative or Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM)
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 15 years relevant experience
- 5 years supporting DoD
- Agile Development Test and Evaluation (DT&E) and Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) of NPES and NPES-related software
- Experience preparing scenario databases, creating and documenting test plans and procedures, maintaining user story traceability, recommending test tools, and developing test jigs and data
- Ability to provide the Government with analysis of the operational impact of proposed changes to NPES and NPES-related systems
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
- Preferred: 3 years supporting the DoD
- Preferred: Demonstrated experience supporting USSTRATCOM weapon systems and/or capabilities
