About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review, prepare, and analyze planning, requirements, design, support, testing, source code, configuration files, and engineering resolution documentation
  • Evaluate analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions to determine operational feasibility
  • Develop documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code
  • Conduct systems analysis and recommend policy and procedure changes
  • Acquire and license software by obtaining vendor information, recommending purchases, testing, and approving products
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize development and service issues
  • Perform Software Quality Assurance (SQA)
  • Work as a member of an agile software development team
  • Elaborate high-level feature/function descriptions into detailed technical designs and tasks with users and government lead engineers
  • Perform coding tasks for features/functions and functional and performance tests
  • Perform peer design and code reviews
  • Perform coding/scripting for software build, packaging, and deployment
  • Perform other software engineering and documentation tasks as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must possess and maintain TS w/SCI eligibility
  • Must possess Nuclear Command and Control/Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2/ESI) eligibility
  • Must possess Alternative or Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) eligibility
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including 5 years supporting the DoD
  • Expertise in Information Technology and Software development, architectures, system and application requirements
  • Technical operational expertise for daily system management, troubleshooting, quality assurance, problem analysis, and resolution for hardware, software, and interfaces
  • Preferred: Sec + CE certification
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred: 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years supporting the DoD
  • Demonstrated experience supporting USSTRATCOM weapon systems and/or capabilities
