Contribute to Apollo Global Engineering’s technology initiatives and help transform firm operations
Partner with investment professionals to streamline day-to-day activities and build efficient workflows
Collaborate with technology teams and subject matter experts to deliver end-to-end solutions
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives
Design, develop, test, and deploy features and enhancements
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to documentation
Translate business requirements into technical solutions with guidance from senior engineers and product owners
Troubleshoot defects and improve system performance and reliability
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and engineering best practices
Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, and documentation while validating AI-generated output
Explore AI and automation opportunities for team workflows and business processes
Present work and learnings to the team and leadership at the conclusion of the internship

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, software development, computer science, engineering or a related field
Graduation date in May/June 2028
Excellent academic record
Demonstrated interest in finance and technology through previous internships, jobs, and coursework
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
Familiarity with Git and core software development concepts
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong oral, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate in a team environment
Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and ask good questions
Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT
Understanding of the strengths and limitations of generative AI, including reviewing, testing, and validating AI-generated code
Ability to write effective prompts and iterate on outputs to solve technical problems
Interest in applying AI to improve engineering productivity and real business use cases
Experience with SQL and relational databases preferred
Exposure to Azure, AWS, GCP, REST APIs, React, or Angular preferred
Prior internship, co-op, or relevant project experience preferred
Interest in investing, markets, or supporting investment technology preferred
