About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee employee benefits administration, including health, dental, vision, retirement, voluntary benefits, PTO, and AMC-specific programs
  • Ensure ACA benefit management, reporting, and compliance
  • Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, state paid leave, ADA-related leave, and workers’ compensation coordination
  • Conduct new-hire benefit meetings for full-time and part-time benefit-eligible employees
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, questions, and issue resolution
  • Maintain the Paycom HRIS and ensure accurate employee data, reporting, and system functionality
  • Prepare, process, and track Personnel Action Forms for employment changes
  • Serve as backup for payroll processing
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports for compliance, audits, and workforce analytics
  • Partner with managers on employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution
  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Supervise designated HR team members, including prioritization, training, coaching, development, and performance management
  • Support pre-boarding and onboarding and monitor completion of required new-hire paperwork
  • Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, and standard operating procedures
  • Monitor employment-law changes and implement policy and process updates
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Prepare and manage EEOC reporting
  • Assist with recruitment and talent-management initiatives
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Report to the HR Director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience
  • Experience in benefits administration
  • Experience in HRIS management
  • Experience in employee relations
  • Knowledge and understanding of ACA compliance and payroll processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to operate independently with limited direction or oversight
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and practical problem-solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across functions
  • Experience with Paycom HRIS preferred
  • Must be based in the New England area to attend annual meetings
  • Resume and letter of interest required
  • Satisfactory annual criminal background record check required for employees working in programs or facilities serving children, disabled persons, or the elderly
