About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development of advanced inspection and metrology algorithms for semiconductor wafer and advanced packaging applications
  • Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies in computer vision, image processing, machine learning, deep learning, and high-performance computing
  • Define algorithm architecture, technical strategy, and development roadmaps aligned with product objectives
  • Guide performance optimization for high-throughput production systems using CPU, GPU, and parallel computing implementations
  • Establish methodologies for algorithm quality, benchmarking, validation, characterization, and performance monitoring
  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop an algorithm engineering team
  • Drive hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and career development
  • Collaborate with product management and applications engineering to translate requirements into product capabilities
  • Drive feature definition, prioritization, and execution across multiple product releases
  • Lead investigation and resolution of critical customer escalations and field issues
  • Partner with software, HPC, and systems engineering teams across India and the United States
  • Own algorithm development from concept and prototyping through integration, optimization, qualification, and product release
  • Collaborate with global teams on shared infrastructure, technology platforms, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in algorithm development on large-scale hardware-centric systems
  • 3+ years of technical leadership experience
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
  • Experience with algorithm development for large-scale hardware-centric systems
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects
  • Experience in semiconductor inspection, metrology, or related semiconductor equipment industries
  • Hands-on expertise in computer vision, ML/DL algorithms, and imaging systems
  • Experience with GPU programming and high-performance computing
  • Strong technical communication skills
