About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the direct liaison with customers
- Install, maintain, and upgrade semiconductor equipment
- Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot technical issues
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems
- Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and service
- Ensure compliance with safety, PIP, and environmental protocols
- Independently perform TSMC F24 installation, maintenance, and upgrades
- Troubleshoot hardware issues, order and replace parts, and resolve FDC mismatches
- Test and diagnose equipment following documented procedures and task plans
- Participate in daily passdown meetings and follow task priorities
- Answer lead, FSO, and customer calls and participate in customer and internal meetings
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces according to TSMC 6S
- Open and manage service cases and escalations based on CE KPIs
- Support parts management, including ordering, tracking, and coordination with technicians
- Collaborate with Germany CE teams and local PSE teams
- Coach and support junior engineers and international colleagues
- Participate in FSO on-call rotations and support deinstallation activities
- Represent Applied Materials professionally with a customer-first mindset
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (hardware-related preferred)
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic mechanical aptitude in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics
- Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters
- TOEIC score of 550+
- 2 yr+ TSMC fab experience is preferred
- Flexible work schedule, including weekends and shift work
- Ability to lift 10–20 kg and work in cleanroom environments with full protective gear
- Physical capability to sit, kneel, crouch, twist, stretch, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to participate in on-call/on-duty rotations and deinstall activities
