About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform Tier I procedures, preventative maintenance, and wet-cleans
- Assist senior engineers with corrective maintenance
- Disassemble, clean, and rebuild kits as part of kit management quality
- Learn and apply basic diagnostic techniques and use documentation and test equipment
- Diagnose and resolve basic technical problems
- Perform established BKM procedures and follow IP guidelines
- Represent Applied Materials to customers and provide professional customer service
- Maintain an orderly work area
- Comply with safety procedures
- Collaborate with customers to install, maintain, and upgrade equipment
- Use digital analytics for troubleshooting
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment systems
- Coordinate and communicate directly with customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Develops skills to perform basic activities in own job
- Uses existing procedures to solve straightforward problems with limited discretion
- Uses communication skills and common courtesy
- Willingness to travel 75% of the time
- Able to work in electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems
- Applies basic diagnostic techniques and uses documentation and test equipment
- Complies with all safety procedures
