About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define specific project and program objectives
  • Complete preliminary activities including outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning
  • Ensure assigned projects and programs meet predetermined product/process specifications, costs, resource utilization, and completion timelines
  • Document all phases of project, program, and/or process development
  • Report, disseminate, or transfer information to other functional areas
  • Ensure compliance with company policies regarding engineering/lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality, and safety
  • Manage material and financial resources effectively
  • Work with other staff to maximize project/program productivity
  • Lead research and development of new technologies as appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field
  • Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices
  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
  • Ability to lead others to solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought
  • Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, work in tight spaces, bend, squat, twist, kneel, reach, and lift
