About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide dedicated onsite support at a Malaysian contract manufacturer for Applied NEXX ramp execution and future business stability
  • Manage day-to-day onsite execution, production readiness, material status, manufacturing constraints, and action items for active and planned tool builds
  • Lead daily production-floor scrums with the supplier and Applied stakeholders
  • Identify problems, assign owners, resolve shortages, and remove barriers to committed ship dates
  • Establish and maintain a single source of truth for tool-by-tool readiness, CTB status, long-lead materials, purchase orders, supplier commitments, configuration alignment, ECO disposition, and schedule risks
  • Proactively escalate material, quality, engineering, planning, purchasing, and manufacturing issues
  • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, planning, and quality teams to support ramp-up to multi-tool-per-quarter output
  • Monitor contract manufacturer capacity, staffing, second-shift readiness, training plans, layout constraints, and production-line maturity
  • Promote disciplined project management, clear ownership, communication cadence, and proactive execution
  • Ensure resources and attention are allocated to meet NEXX required dates
  • Coordinate with Applied Singapore and Malaysia teams for support
  • Define program objectives, milestones, ownership, and resource plans for onsite execution
  • Ensure programs meet requirements for schedule, product/process specifications, cost, resource utilization, and risk closure
  • Maintain documentation, status reporting, and cross-functional communication across Applied NEXX, the contract manufacturer, and supporting teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10–15 years of experience
  • Recognized as an expert within the company and technical expert in the relevant field
  • In-depth and/or broad expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of related disciplines
  • Experience leading complex projects with notable risk and developing execution strategy
  • Ability to solve unique and complex problems with broad business impact
  • Ability to anticipate business and regulatory issues and recommend improvements
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas, anticipate objections, and persuade senior stakeholders
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, work in tight spaces, bend, squat, twist, kneel, reach, and lift
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to work in a clean room and use required personal protective equipment
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time
