About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, align, and implement commodity strategies
- Negotiate and manage supplier agreements
- Engage with the PLC process to ensure alignment with commodity strategies
- Direct new supplier introductions and/or supplier disengagements
- Drive resolution of systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery, or lead time
- Engage with sub-tier suppliers when required
- Develop and present high-level cost reduction opportunities
- Impact customer, operational, project, or service objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices
- May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
- Leads others to solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought and judgment
- Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view
- Willingness to travel 20% of the time
