About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist Sales Representatives in achieving goals by setting up appointments in their territories
  • Compile and forward sales leads to Sales Representatives
  • Assist in generating additional sales of AMT products
  • Assist in creating sales and marketing tools for AMT products
  • Perform customer in-services when requested by Sales Representatives
  • Travel as needed and attend at least one tradeshow or conference
  • Train and provide in-services to customers
  • Assist with sales documents
  • Generate miscellaneous sales reports
  • Maintain product and market knowledge
  • Communicate professionally with prospective accounts and AMT employees
  • Perform general office and other assigned duties
  • Report to the National Sales Manager
  • Travel up to 75% throughout the United States

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1-2 years of inside sales experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Thorough understanding of needs/analysis selling
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Understanding of contract administration
  • Business acumen with demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume
  • Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry, probability, and statistical inference
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of modern business communication, office procedures, and methods
  • Proficiency with personal computers and software such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork
  • May be required to pass a drug, alcohol, credit, and/or criminal background check
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate for hours at a time and use computer equipment
