About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist sales representatives in achieving goals by setting up appointments in their territories
  • Compile and forward sales leads to sales representatives
  • Assist in generating additional sales of AMT products
  • Assist in creating sales and marketing tools for AMT products
  • Perform customer in-services when requested by sales representatives
  • Travel as needed for tradeshows, conferences, and servicing events, including at least one tradeshow/conference
  • Travel up to 75% throughout the United States
  • Assist with sales documents
  • Generate miscellaneous sales reports
  • Maintain product and market knowledge
  • Train and provide in-servicing to customers
  • Maintain professional communication with prospective accounts and AMT employees
  • Perform general office and other assigned duties
  • Report to the National Sales Manager; no supervisory responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred: 1–2 years of inside sales experience
  • Thorough understanding of needs/analysis selling
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Understanding of contract administration
  • Business acumen with demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume
  • Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry, probability, and statistical inference
  • Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of modern business communication, office procedures, and methods
  • Proficiency with personal computers and software such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, analyze numbers, read and interpret written materials, develop teams, ensure policy compliance, respond to feedback, maintain working relationships, and troubleshoot problems
  • Must be able to hear and verbally communicate for hours at a time and use computer equipment
  • May be required to pass a drug, alcohol, credit, and/or criminal background check
