About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute the product roadmap, backlog and priorities for the Hub Platform
  • Partner with Engineering to implement the kerbside data model representing parking assets, geometry, restrictions, tariffs, rights, entitlements and operating rules consistently
  • Define data classification and standardisation requirements with the Data team
  • Own requirements for data pipelines covering ingestion, transformation, validation, reconciliation and publication
  • Define and deliver scalable reusable platform capabilities and APIs
  • Drive development and scaling of platform APIs, including contracts, capabilities, consumption patterns and priorities
  • Identify opportunities for AI and machine learning in classification, anomaly detection, validation and conflict resolution
  • Move Data Operations toward an exception-based operating model
  • Work across Product, Engineering, Data, GIS, Commercial and Operations to manage requirements and dependencies
  • Maintain a prioritised backlog balancing foundational platform work with consuming-product needs
  • Define acceptance criteria, quality standards and success measures
  • Communicate and support adoption of platform changes across consuming teams
  • Reduce duplication and manual effort, improve data quality and enable scalable coverage and product offerings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years’ experience owning technical, platform or data products in an agile environment
  • Proven ability to work closely with Engineering teams on complex, data-heavy systems
  • Proven experience with a geospatial product, geospatial data platform or complex SaaS data platform
  • Track record of owning technical products or platforms
  • Working understanding of APIs, data models, data pipelines and microservices
  • Experience designing or managing data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, validation, reconciliation and distribution
  • Experience with data classification, standardisation and data quality across multiple data sources
  • Experience working with and scaling APIs and platform capabilities consumed by multiple products, customers or third parties
  • Strong technical understanding of APIs, integrations, data models and modern cloud architectures
  • Experience identifying and applying AI capabilities to improve functionality, automation, data quality or operational efficiency
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to break complex problems into clear scope and sequence work incrementally
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving approach
  • Experience managing dependencies across multiple teams
  • Commercial awareness of shared platform capabilities
  • Preferred: experience with GIS technologies, GeoJSON or spatial databases; complex kerbside, parking, transport or mobility rules; event-driven architectures; AI/ML for geospatial or data-quality problems; developer-facing products, APIs, SDKs or data services; SaaS, mobility, smart cities, transport or location-based technology environments
