About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review and refine financials to deliver accurate, client-ready monthly reporting
  • Use AI-native accounting and finance tools to drive efficiency and refine prompts and workflows
  • Serve as the finance review point for pod deliverables and ensure financials tie out and reporting packages meet Aprio standards
  • Build budgets, forecasts, 13-week cash flow models, scenario analyses, and KPI dashboards
  • Translate financial results into narratives for founders, leadership teams, and boards
  • Support core and add-on CFO advisory engagements, including headcount planning, scenario modeling, and SKU profitability
  • Support complex client projects including cash-to-accrual conversions, GAAP clean-up, M&A/QoE readiness, and process build-outs
  • Coordinate across US client leads, offshore accounting teams, and external advisors
  • Create reusable templates, models, SOPs, and dashboards
  • Build market presence and contribute to business development
  • Identify client expansion and advisory add-on opportunities
  • Participate in industry or community events and represent Aprio in the market
  • Contribute to proposals, scoping, and pursuits
  • Coach and develop team members
  • Contribute to SOPs, playbooks, and workflow blueprints
  • Support collaboration across technology and e-commerce clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 5 - 7+ years of progressive finance and/or accounting experience
  • Experience ideally including FP&A, financial modeling, or CFO/finance advisory in a client-service, outsourced, or high-growth environment
  • Experience with technology, SaaS, e-commerce, or venture-backed startups strongly preferred
  • Comfort supporting companies from $0–$100M in revenue
  • Strong FP&A and modeling skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and scenario analysis
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition concepts
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Experience with modern finance/accounting platforms such as QBO, Xero, NetSuite, or Rillet
  • Appetite for AI-native tools and automation
  • Business acumen and relationship skills to engage founders and leadership
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • Ability to partner with US client leads, offshore teams, and external advisors
  • CPA, CMA, CGMA, or MBA preferred
