About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of endpoint engineers
  • Assign and prioritize work, manage performance, and support career development
  • Perform hands-on device deployment and configuration
  • Manage image and application packaging
  • Manage endpoint policies and day-to-day endpoint administration
  • Own and maintain endpoint standards and configuration baselines
  • Evaluate and recommend IT peripherals and end-user hardware
  • Maintain the approved standards list and validate hardware compatibility
  • Implement and enforce endpoint security controls
  • Verify device compliance with company policies and standards
  • Manage, test, and deploy updates, patches, and software upgrades
  • Report on patch compliance
  • Provide Level 3 support and act as the escalation point for complex endpoint issues
  • Maintain documentation for endpoint configurations, standards, runbooks, and procedures
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure, security, and service desk teams
  • Educate employees on endpoint security and usage best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically 4-6 years of hands-on endpoint management experience, including 1-3 years as a team lead, senior engineer, or working manager
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator, Intune, Jamf, or similar
  • Current, hands-on proficiency with endpoint management platforms such as Intune, Configuration Manager, and Jamf
  • Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
  • Scripting experience, such as PowerShell
  • Experience with imaging and packaging
  • Experience with endpoint security tooling, including EDR, MDM, and patch management
  • Experience leading a small technical team as a working manager or team lead
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, endpoint hardening, and best practices
  • Familiarity with end-user hardware and IT peripherals, including compatibility and standardization
  • Ability to plan and execute deployments, OS migrations, and hardware refresh projects on schedule
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Keen attention to detail in managing and securing endpoint devices
  • Familiarity with industry-specific requirements and standards for endpoint management
  • Ability to work outside regular business hours for patching, deployments, troubleshooting, and emergency response
  • Willingness to travel 10%
