About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, organize, and execute events from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with firm goals and budget parameters.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for all events.
- Manage event logistics including venue selection, catering, audiovisual, signage, transportation, and staffing.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align event objectives and ensure quality delivery.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships, including intake processes, with minimal supervision.
- Oversee event registration, communications, and marketing.
- Track and analyze event metrics; prepare post-event reports to assess ROI and inform continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve event issues before, during, and after execution.
- Lead and develop an early career team member, providing coaching, feedback, and performance support.
- Work with Aprio, a Top 20 CPA and advisory firm serving fast-growing industries through accounting, tax, consulting, and advisory expertise.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and execution for conferences, training events, and executive meetings, preferably some with a learning focus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to source venues and negotiate contracts with vendors.
- Willing to travel up to 20-30%.
- Preferred: Cvent experience.
- Preferred: Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification.
