About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, and maintain software systems and applications using approved languages and tools
- Lead technical consultation between end users and IT staff to identify needs, resolve issues, and enhance system capabilities
- Develop and deliver project scope documentation, requirements specifications, and statements of work
- Manage external client relationships, including project status communications, implementation planning, and client testing coordination
- Support applications by resolving help desk tickets, correcting defects, and documenting corrective actions
- Assist with project prioritization by gathering requirements, estimating effort, and entering projects into tracking tools
- Document technical application knowledge and share findings with team members
- Remain current on emerging technologies and recommend continuous improvements
- Mentor and support team member development through guidance and knowledge sharing
- Work hybrid three times per week in the Bogotá office
- Occasionally travel out of town overnight to client offices, meetings, or seminars
- Handle increased workload during certain times of the year
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of progressively complex application development experience
- Experience with relational database design
- Proficiency in one or more of: Java, JavaScript, HTML, Eclipse, Linux, Apache Tomcat, Visual Studio, VB.NET, ASP.NET, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SharePoint, Crystal Reports, GeneXus™, IBM System i CL, RPG II, RPG III, or ILE
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting deadlines
