About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor cash activity, including client deposits and sales, to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Review and validate general ledger entries and account coding for accuracy and consistency
  • Prepare and submit month-end bank reconciliations for client accounts
  • Train and onboard new staff members to support team effectiveness and consistency
  • Support the 1099 preparation process for clients
  • Provide backup coverage across team functions as needed
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Contribute to team development by training and mentoring new staff members
  • Work with diverse client engagements impacting client financial operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Working knowledge of general ledger and bank reconciliation processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to shifting demands
  • Strong critical thinking skills with an aptitude for learning and navigating new software platforms
  • Preferred: Experience with double-entry bookkeeping
