About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work as a senior naval engineer within a project team specializing in naval engineering
  • Contribute to ship and offshore unit design, conversion, construction, and maintenance projects
  • Prepare naval deliverables, including procedures, technical notes, and reports
  • Participate in the design and manufacture of permanent mooring equipment, as well as its integration and offshore installation
  • Prepare technical documentation for purchase requisitions, bid evaluations, and purchase orders
  • Prepare project lessons-learned documentation
  • Coordinate disciplines and monitor project progress
  • Contribute to the development of the department’s technical capabilities
  • Comply with contractual, regulatory, safety, performance, and quality requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, shipyards, and industrial partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree, engineering degree, or equivalent, with a specialization in naval architecture, marine engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electromechanical engineering, or systems engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in naval engineering, naval architecture, marine construction, or embedded systems design
  • Proven experience in ship design, construction, conversion, refurbishment, or maintenance projects
  • Strong knowledge of naval architecture, structural engineering, stability, hydrodynamics, and onboard systems integration principles
  • Thorough, autonomous, analytical, and responsible
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Professional proficiency in English is essential for reading technical documentation and communicating with clients, suppliers, shipyards, and international partners
  • BOSIET + CA-EBS, OPITO-certified, required for offshore travel
  • MFC (Medical Fitness Certificate), OGUK-certified, required for offshore travel
  • Availability for occasional travel to client sites, shipyards, and testing facilities
