About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build clear and accurate financial business cases for new quotes, including new programs and engineering changes
  • Validate and establish ownership of main assumptions by each responsible function
  • Perform cost variation analysis for engineering changes, CAPEX updates, pricing, and purchasing inputs
  • Use the cost model to simulate scenarios and thresholds
  • Prepare and present program profitability for Gates Review meetings
  • Drive the core team to improve new-program profitability through the gate review process
  • Ensure proper application of indexed commodities pricing and accurate pricing at launch
  • Support appropriation request meetings, create projects in SAP, and control release of funds
  • Pursue tooling rebill and provide forecast updates
  • Support and coordinate claims during the program phase, ensuring all recoverable concepts and claimed amounts are validated
  • Support post-audit processes for major programs and present convergence plans
  • Support forecasting and budgeting for new programs
  • Maintain documentation and work instructions, and attend internal audits

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience in costing or program controlling, ideally within the automotive industry
  • Strong background in cost estimation, standard costing and variance analysis
  • Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organization with exposure to business leaders
  • Expertise in Excel-based modeling
  • Solid working knowledge in SAP
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • Engineering background would be a significant plus
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
