About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and maintain customer cloud environments for operating the Aras PLM Platform
- Work closely with DevOps, support, and development teams
- Implement automation to continuously reduce toil for customer operations using CI/CD processes
- Introduce new technologies and deploy services to multiple cloud environments and regions
- Solve technical problems and guide internal and external teams
- Improve systems, deployments, operations, monitoring, and overall cloud activities and costs
- Provide technical expertise and ownership in diagnosing and remediating security and privacy issues for Managed Services offerings
- Handle internal and external technical communication
- Set up cross-region environments using automated or manual procedures
- Respond to customer support issues related to these environments
- Maintain industry knowledge of the latest trends, technology, and practices
- Participate in 24/7 duty officer and on-call shifts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working in cloud computing, virtualization, and container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes (K8S)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a desire to take on responsibility
- Advanced networking knowledge: load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, and TCP/IP troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Experience with monitoring systems and SLA tracking
- Hands-on experience administering and supporting high-scale production workloads
- Everything-as-code approach
- Positive attitude and strong commitment to delivering quality work
- Ability to commute into the Tokyo office is highly desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Azure preferred
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD
- Experience with Git
- Experience with .NET Core and PowerShell
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Terraform and Packer
