About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Privately tutor students around the world via Zoom
Create personalized test prep plans for each student
Set consistent instructional and practice exam schedules leading up to specific test dates
Write lesson summaries after each meeting and update parents on student progress
Assign appropriate amounts of homework between lessons
Establish genuine relationships with students, families, and ArborBridge employees
Communicate regularly with program managers, instruction managers, directors of tutoring, operational staff, and other colleagues to maximize student support and ensure programs run smoothly

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 6 months of formal US History tutoring experience (1 year or more preferred)
Deep knowledge of AP US History content and AP testing strategies
Proven track record of significant score improvements for AP students
Ability to deliver world-class customer service to affluent domestic and international families with high expectations
Familiarity with online teaching tools
Bachelor’s degree from a top university (degree in US History preferred)
Availability to meet with students on at least one weekend day in addition to after school during the week is currently prioritized
