About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnoses
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
  • Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with therapists and other providers in an integrated care model
  • Perform TMS cortical mappings when applicable to the site/partner practice
  • Oversee staff technicians performing daily TMS treatments when applicable to the site/partner practice
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, TMS services when applicable, and ongoing outpatient treatment
  • Support safe prescribing, patient engagement, and collaboration with therapy and interdisciplinary clinical teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
  • Valid and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in the state where healthcare services are provided
  • Valid and unrestricted nursing license(s) in the state where healthcare services are provided
  • Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number and all other licenses and certificates legally required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-certification experience; outpatient experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge of medical processes and procedures
  • Adequate/required professional liability insurance policy
  • Compliance with prescription drug monitoring program regulations
  • Experience treating diverse age groups preferred
  • Comfort with telepsychiatry preferred
  • Knowledge of evidence-based medication protocols preferred
