About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for outpatient patients
- Provide medication management and therapy to a diverse patient population
- Provide TMS services, if applicable
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatment and research methodologies
- Make referrals for psychotherapy when indicated
- Collaborate with therapy and interdisciplinary clinical teams to ensure comprehensive treatment
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and complete documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Advocate for clients' needs and rights, including access to psychiatric services and medications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state applied to, or willingness to obtain one
- Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD/DO), or Board Prepared if within 5 years of completing residency or fellowship
- Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number
- All licenses and certificates lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances
- Strong understanding of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic techniques
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions in psychiatric treatment
