About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver civil and structural design activities across rail and infrastructure projects
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and technical documentation
  • Work within BIM and 3D design environments, including Revit, Civil 3D and AECOSim
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop coordinated engineering solutions
  • Support delivery against programme, budget and quality requirements
  • Undertake site visits and surveys as required
  • Build relationships with clients, colleagues and project stakeholders
  • Contribute to a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture
  • Develop technical and professional skills through mentoring and project experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Membership of ICE or IStructE (Graduate, Associate or equivalent)
  • Actively working towards Chartered Engineer status
  • Experience in bridge and/or structural design, ideally within a consultancy environment
  • Exposure to the rail sector would be advantageous
  • Experience using civil engineering design software to produce technical deliverables
  • Understanding of BIM principles and working within a Common Data Environment
  • Eligibility to work in the UK on a long-term basis
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally within the UK
