About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage defined areas of cost verification commissions
  • Analyse cost data against contractual and commercial principles
  • Review cost and commercial management systems and processes
  • Undertake data sampling, payroll and employment contract audits
  • Work with project and finance teams to obtain and understand key information
  • Produce working papers, close-out reports and practical recommendations
  • Present findings clearly to contractors and other stakeholders
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues
  • Travel to client sites and other UK locations when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ideally have a degree in Quantity Surveying, Accountancy or a related discipline
  • Professional membership such as MRICS, ACCA or FCA advantageous but not essential
  • Experience of cost systems such as COINS, SAP, ICON or Oracle
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of target cost or cost-reimbursable construction contracts
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex data
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Clear, confident communication with stakeholders at different levels
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively and deliver to deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and other UK locations when required
