About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, review and manage cost plans, budgets and forecasts.
- Carry out independent valuations and cost assessments on behalf of lenders and investors.
- Monitor project expenditure, identify cost risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Prepare clear and accurate financial reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Liaise with project teams, contractors and financial stakeholders to ensure robust cost control and reporting.
- Support due diligence, feasibility studies and investment appraisals.
- Provide cost management expertise on technically complex projects, including data centres, energy centres, biotech and semiconductor facilities.
- Review and assess costs associated with MEP packages, electrical systems and specialist engineering works.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy, professionalism and client service.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Strong experience as a Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor.
- Experience delivering cost management services on MEP and technically complex engineering projects.
- A strong understanding of electrical systems and associated construction packages.
- Knowledge of lender and investor requirements, procurement routes, contracts and risk management.
- Experience within the Irish construction market and a sound understanding of the relevant regulatory environment.
- Experience working on data centres, energy centres, biotech or semiconductor projects would be advantageous.
- Professional accreditation such as MRICS would be advantageous.
- Confidence working in a client-facing consultancy role.
