About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and grow Arcadis’s water engineering team in Clifton Park, NY
  • Collaborate with experienced water professionals to develop and deliver projects
  • Interact and work with clients
  • Assess, develop, and support management of sustainability and resilience projects
  • Exercise judgment in selecting and adapting preliminary engineering alternatives
  • Perform fieldwork including site visits, construction inspection, sampling, water quality analyses, asset inventory, flow monitoring, technology evaluations, plant operations information, process troubleshooting, and optimization
  • Support Asset Management projects through data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and performance evaluations of water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and audiovisual materials
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Use SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, Augmented Reality, databases, and cloud-based computing services to enhance collaboration and project delivery
  • Support project management efforts involving scopes, budgets, and client deliverables

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Ability to obtain EIT within one year of hire
  • Strong foundation in engineering concepts and theories related to water, wastewater, and stormwater management
  • Excellent technical aptitude
  • Familiarity with CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, EPANET, and Modflow
  • Skills in evaluating, planning, designing, and supporting management of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and stormwater conveyance projects, including pipelines and pumping facilities
  • Ability to support project management, including project scopes, budgets, and client deliverables
  • Prior design or consulting engineering firm, municipal work, or internship experience preferred
  • EIT certification preferred
