About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support environmental assessment and remediation projects alongside Senior Scientists/Engineers, Project/Program Managers, and Technical Experts
- Provide program support for projects serving U.S. Federal Government and industrial clients
- Participate in field investigations, sampling activities, pilot programs, and full-scale remedial efforts
- Oversee operation and maintenance of water and vapor remediation treatment systems
- Design and oversee system improvement projects and system upgrades
- Conduct soil and groundwater investigations and sample collection
- Perform site characterization, remedial design, and feasibility studies
- Compile, evaluate, and perform QA/QC on data
- Support report writing, permitting, and cost estimating
- Coordinate with project managers and senior engineering staff
- Interpret and evaluate field and analytical data for engineering designs, permit applications, and construction-related documents
- Perform soil and groundwater remedial system and in-situ technology treatment design and assessments
- Oversee drilling, soil sampling, groundwater well installation and sampling, subcontractors, remediation system operation and maintenance, and vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys
- Support Pacific Northwest and National emergency response teams under trained incident responders
- Engage in face-to-face meetings with clients, technical teams, and stakeholders
- Perform field and office tasks with periodic travel
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field
- Candidates graduating in May 2027 are encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Focus on health and safety
- Excellent team-building and organizational abilities
- Willingness and ability to perform fieldwork and travel
- Regional business travel up to 1–2 days per week on average
- U.S. travel up to two weeks at a time a few times per year
- Ability to support emergency response work, including unanticipated travel and work outside standard business hours
- EIT Certification preferred
