Environmental Engineer – Entry Level
Arcadis. Support industrial, commercial, and federal clients with air permitting, waste management, stormwater pollution prevention and permitting, spill preparedness and response, wastewater discharge permitting, and associated regulatory reports .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support industrial, commercial, and federal clients with air permitting, waste management, stormwater pollution prevention and permitting, spill preparedness and response, wastewater discharge permitting, and associated regulatory reports
- Prepare emission calculations for regulated air pollutants and greenhouse gases
- Support Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and report preparation
- Provide field and office support for site investigations, including soil, water, and vapor sample collection and site inspections
- Work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously
- Collaborate with air quality and EHS compliance teams on air permitting, compliance reporting, Tier II and TRI reporting, emissions inventory development, spill response plans, stormwater and wastewater permitting, waste management, and other EHS compliance projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Environmental, or related engineering discipline
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Willingness to travel up to 10–20% for project and client needs, including possible overnight trips
- Prior relevant internship experience (preferred)
- EIT certification (preferred)
