About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist Project Managers and Task Managers in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks
- Oversee drilling for soil sampling and groundwater well installation
- Conduct groundwater sampling and vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys
- Prepare subcontracts and oversee subcontractor work
- Operate and maintain remediation systems
- Write and prepare technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda
- Coordinate tasks and compile and interpret data
- Prepare cost estimates and health and safety plans
- Review regulatory files and write proposals
- Support project strategy development, schedule and budget management, and subcontract establishment
- Conduct soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling
- Communicate with clients and support Pacific Northwest and National emergency response teams under trained incident responders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, or closely related field (e.g., environmental science, physical science)
- Valid driver's license
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team setting and independently and remotely
- Ability to be adaptable and solve problems creatively and collaboratively
- Willingness to conduct regional and U.S. business travel, including up to 1–2 days per week and up to two weeks at a time a few times per year
- Ability to support emergency response work, including unanticipated travel and work outside standard business hours
