About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Function as a project manager on select federal, state, and/or municipal contracts
  • Provide technical leadership and quality control for multidisciplinary delivery teams through planning, design, and construction
  • Serve as the primary interface between client staff and the consultant team
  • Engage regularly with clients in knowledge sharing, brainstorming, and work planning
  • Establish and meet project schedules, budgets, and quality objectives
  • Assign and monitor tasks and ensure adequate project resources
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide technical expertise on related projects
  • Manage and expand the client base by meeting expectations, delivering quality work, and maintaining active communication
  • Mentor junior-level technical staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical/Coastal Engineering, or a related field
  • 10 years of experience in infrastructure design and implementation
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in California
  • Ability to lead and support federal accounts and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with planning and designing civil and infrastructure projects, including levees, dams, engineering with nature, and climate adaptation projects
