About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist Project Managers and Task Managers in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks
- Oversee drilling for soil sampling and groundwater well installation
- Conduct groundwater sampling
- Oversee subcontractors and remediation system operation and maintenance
- Conduct vapor intrusion and soil gas surveys
- Prepare subcontracts and oversee subcontractor work
- Write and prepare technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda
- Coordinate tasks and compile and interpret data
- Prepare cost estimates and health and safety plans
- Review regulatory files and write proposals
- Develop project strategies and manage schedules and budgets
- Conduct soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling
- Perform regional and U.S. travel for fieldwork
- Conduct fieldwork with a focus on health and safety
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science - Geology
- Current OSHA HAZWOPER 40 HR / 8 HR training preferred
- Master of Science - Geology preferred
- 1 year of professional experience preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team setting and independently and remotely
- Good driving record
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions and for extended periods
- Ability to work at project sites with soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and other environmental media impacted by hazardous substances and/or hazardous wastes
- Ability to meet physical demands including lifting heavy equipment and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to travel regionally 1–2 days per week and within the U.S. for up to two weeks at a time a few times per year
