About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Function as the wastewater process engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects
- Lead design tasks with assistance from process engineers, senior engineers, and subject matter experts
- Develop engineering designs, drawings, specifications, P&IDs, calculations, technical reports, and equipment selections
- Work with drafters/designers and coordinate with other disciplines to complete construction documents
- Support engineering services during construction, including submittal reviews and responses to requests for information
- Perform office-based construction-related engineering work
- Verify performance and conformity with design drawings and specifications through field inspection and testing during construction and commissioning
- Conduct site visits for equipment evaluation, process testing and troubleshooting, construction inspection and observations, and other field work
- Seek guidance and implement feedback from senior engineering staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of consulting engineering experience
- Experience with water/wastewater equipment for industrial clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering
- 2+ years of industrial wastewater experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience preparing engineering drawings, calculations, P&IDs, specifications, technical reports, memoranda, control narratives, and O&M manuals
- Proficiency in engineering calculations using industry-standard software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Experience developing, reviewing, and editing equipment and piping specifications
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Raleigh, NC
