About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work on environmental consulting projects focused on environmental licensing for mining projects, with an emphasis on flora and vegetation
  • Conduct field activities related to forest inventories, phytosociological surveys, vegetation characterization, and environmental monitoring
  • Support the identification of native flora species and verify collected data
  • Assist in preparing environmental studies related to the biotic environment
  • Organize, process, and analyze data from forest inventories, environmental monitoring, and vegetation assessments
  • Support the preparation of technical reports, opinions, spreadsheets, thematic maps, and databases
  • Conduct literature reviews and consult official databases on flora, vegetation types, protected areas, and environmental legislation
  • Support the interpretation of ecological data and the development of environmental indicators
  • Contribute to document organization and ensure information quality
  • Follow technical, administrative, health, and safety procedures applicable to field and office activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Forestry Engineering, Biology, or a related field
  • Practical knowledge of identifying native flora species in the field
  • Knowledge of key species and vegetation types of the Atlantic Forest and Cerrado biomes
  • Basic knowledge of forest inventories and phytosociological surveys
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation applicable to environmental licensing and environmental interventions
  • Knowledge of technical writing for the preparation of environmental studies
  • Ability to organize and analyze environmental databases
  • Interest in and availability for participation in field campaigns
  • Required proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Basic knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus
  • Experience with Google Earth, QGIS, and/or ArcGIS is a plus
  • Knowledge of processing and spatial analysis of environmental data is a plus
