About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage project delivery within the municipal water and wastewater market
- Provide leadership, technical knowledge, and experience to develop design team capabilities
- Lead planning, design, permitting, and construction of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water facilities and conveyance systems
- Create or oversee construction documents, drawings, specifications, and permit applications
- Support construction oversight and administration for new construction and rehabilitation work
- Prepare engineering calculations and analyses using design software
- Develop and meet project scopes, delivery schedules, and budgets
- Collaborate with project and area managers to determine needs and provide solutions
- Support proposals, presentations, task order development, and interviews to win projects
- Strengthen client relationships through technical expertise and professionalism
- Direct and oversee quality assurance and quality control for treatment and reuse projects
- Provide QA/QC review and technical advice for compliance with contracts, codes, regulations, and company standards
- Supervise and mentor engineers and design/drafting technical staff
- Ensure compliance with Arcadis quality and safety standards
- Contribute to strategic growth, planning, and key market initiatives throughout West Florida
Requirements
What you’ll need- 18 years of experience in client service, design management, and project management in the water, wastewater, stormwater, resilience, and solid waste sectors
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, or a related field
- Florida P.E. License or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, resilience, and/or solid waste projects
- Experience in planning and design for municipal infrastructure projects
- Strong technical engineering and management skills
- Strong business acumen
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with clients
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Ability to deliver client presentations and maintain client relationships
- Up to 20% travel for client meetings, professional events, and business growth activities
