About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for municipal and industrial water/wastewater facilities, including treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure
  • Serve as a technical leader and trusted client advisor, providing subject matter expertise and oversight for complex electrical engineering projects
  • Develop and review electrical engineering deliverables, including power distribution systems, one-line diagrams, control schematics, equipment specifications, and construction documents
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams while supporting project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management objectives
  • Provide engineering support during construction through field investigations, site inspections, review of submittals and shop drawings, and response to contractor RFIs
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff
  • Support client development, proposal pursuits, strategic growth initiatives, and expansion of Arcadis' Water business
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on electrical engineering matters and help maintain and expand trusted client relationships
  • Provide technical leadership and project delivery support for municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects throughout the Northeast and across Arcadis' broader North American operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 15 years of progressive electrical engineering experience, with a significant focus on municipal and industrial water/wastewater facilities
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Extensive experience designing and delivering electrical systems for municipal and industrial water/wastewater facilities
  • Expertise in power distribution, instrumentation and controls, lighting, communications systems, and facility electrical infrastructure
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects, building strong client relationships, supporting business development efforts, and mentoring engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Experience with AutoCAD MEP, Revit, SKM Power Tools, short-circuit and coordination studies, arc flash analysis, and photometric studies highly desirable
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support client and project needs
