About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with existing and prospective industrial clients
- Lead business development activities, including opportunity identification, positioning, proposal development, interviews, and pursuit leadership
- Develop, maintain, and advance a robust portfolio of opportunities supporting sustained Industrial Water practice growth
- Collaborate with client account teams, sector leaders, and technical experts to expand client relationships and market presence
- Represent Arcadis through industry engagement, thought leadership, technical publications, and conference participation
- Lead planning, design, execution, and optimization of industrial water, wastewater, water reuse, and resource recovery projects
- Serve as Project Director, Technical Director, Design Manager, or Subject Matter Expert on complex projects and major capital programs
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and provide technical oversight of process evaluations, design basis development, treatment technology selection, treatability studies, engineering design packages, and construction support
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and according to client expectations and Arcadis quality standards
- Execute projects through consulting, EPCM, Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, and other alternative delivery approaches
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline
- 20+ years of industrial water and wastewater experience preferred
- Demonstrated success developing, winning, and delivering industrial water and wastewater projects for industrial clients
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and major capital projects
- Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and project delivery
- Strong communication, leadership, and client engagement skills
- Experience serving Food & Beverage clients required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience serving Data Center, Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Advanced Manufacturing, Chemical, or Energy clients preferred
- Experience with Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, EPCM, or other alternative delivery models preferred
- Experience in a regional, national, or global leadership role preferred
- Recognized industry leadership through publications, presentations, professional organizations, or technical committees preferred
