About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and manage projects or assigned workstreams of varying size and complexity under senior project leadership.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, action logs, and performance information.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements and communicate variances or concerns.
  • Identify project risks and issues, support mitigation strategies, and escalate significant matters.
  • Coordinate clients, consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support planning, design development, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, occupancy, and closeout activities.
  • Facilitate or support project meetings, prepare meeting notes and status reports, track action items, and maintain project documentation.
  • Review consultant and contractor deliverables, schedules, cost information, change requests, RFIs, and other project documentation.
  • Support contract administration, procurement, invoice review, and compliance with contract requirements, regulations, and standards.
  • Analyze project information and provide recommendations to support decisions and improve delivery outcomes.
  • Build working relationships and maintain communication with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Promote safety, quality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support community outreach, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with public agencies and local jurisdictions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in project management, construction management, program management, or capital project delivery.
  • Experience supporting or managing vertical construction projects through one or more phases of planning, design, construction, occupancy, or closeout.
  • Experience coordinating project scope, schedules, budgets, documentation, and stakeholder activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, track actions, communicate issues, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Working knowledge of construction documentation, project controls, contract administration, or procurement processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings throughout Arizona as required.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a related field is preferred but not required; equivalent combinations of education, certifications, military experience, and relevant professional experience will be considered.
  • Experience supporting educational facility, K-12, higher education, or municipal capital improvement projects.
  • Experience working as part of an Owner’s Representative, Program Management, Construction Management, design, contractor, or public-sector project team.
  • Familiarity with public-sector procurement, contract administration, and capital project delivery processes.
  • Exposure to alternative project delivery methods, including CMAR and Design-Build.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local requirements applicable to public construction projects.
  • Experience supporting public meetings, stakeholder engagement, or community outreach activities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, or e-Builder is preferred.
  • PMP, CAPM, CCM, or another relevant professional certification is a plus.
