About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage Arcadis craft labor, subcontractors, overall site safety, and suppliers
  • Relay issues, changes, and deviations from plan to clients regularly
  • Understand project objectives and manage completion of work to client satisfaction
  • Report project progress and issues to the Arcadis Project Manager
  • Maintain quality assurance requirements and monitor code compliance
  • Manage and communicate deviations from Contract Documents
  • Lead and manage daily and weekly construction meetings, safety meetings, updates, and project site coordination meetings
  • Monitor and document labor, materials, and equipment resource utilization
  • Assist with negotiation of basic field construction changes
  • Track project costs, change management activities, claims, and other construction-related matters
  • Lead and facilitate progress, project, safety, scheduling, and contract administration meetings with clients, contractors, local agencies, and community stakeholders
  • Recommend improvements to reduce project costs or shorten project schedules
  • Review and process subcontractor submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders
  • Liaise with design staff to obtain field information and facilitate responses to design-related contractor RFIs
  • Perform other duties required to support successful project execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Over 10 years experience as Construction Manager for large sediment and environmental remediation projects
  • OSHA 40 Hour Hazwoper and 10 Hour Site Supervisor
  • Willingness to relocate or to travel full-time
  • Commitment to Health and Safety
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience managing construction budgets and schedules
  • Experience with estimating, change order negotiation, and bidding
  • Experience with Primavera P6 Professional Project Management and/or Microsoft Project
  • Experience with the MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with various construction document management software
  • Construction-related credentials, such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), preferred
