About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver engineering solutions across a range of projects.
- Manage technical aspects of engineering tasks while achieving quality, safety, commercial, and schedule objectives.
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Drive technical excellence, quality assurance, stakeholder satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
- Apply health, safety, and risk management principles throughout project planning and execution.
- Conduct technical reviews, verification checks, and quality assurance activities on engineering outputs.
- Ensure deliverables comply with applicable standards, codes, regulatory requirements, and organizational procedures.
- Identify technical risks and support mitigation planning to achieve best-value design outcomes.
- Promote safe design practices through hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Lead and manage technical aspects of smaller projects or components of larger, complex projects.
- Coordinate and supervise small teams of engineers and technicians.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members.
- Develop and recommend technical methodologies and engineering solutions.
- Present technical recommendations and solutions to project teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration and overall project success.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Professional Engineering license or registration, where required by local regulations.
- At least 7-10 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering engineering projects within a professional consulting, design, or engineering environment.
- Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Must have experience using ETAP.
- Experience in Revit is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, resources, and project deliverables.
- Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Experience in quality assurance, design review, and technical verification processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound engineering judgment and independently solve complex technical challenges.
- Understanding of health, safety, risk management, and sustainable engineering principles.
- Effective planning, organization, and commercial awareness skills.
- Proven ability to work successfully with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
