About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical and design consulting services for water/wastewater projects and other industrial facilities
- Support electrical power distribution, electrical controls, lighting, fire alarm, access control, and communications work for the Water Division
- Support planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater facilities
- Serve as Arcadis’ main point of contact with clients for electrical needs
- Develop project management skills, including supporting budgets and delivery schedules
- Establish design criteria and perform design calculations
- Develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications
- Perform engineering services during construction
- Review equipment submittals and shop drawings
- Respond to contractor RFIs
- Conduct field inspections and assist with construction projects
- Identify deviations from design and monitor safety compliance
- Mentor junior/staff electrical engineers
- Travel as needed to support project requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior demonstrated consulting experience with water/wastewater and industrial facilities
- Experience using AutoCAD MEP (2D and 3D)
- Experience using Revit
- Experience using SKM Power Tools
- Experience with short circuit calculations
- Experience with overcurrent coordination
- Experience with arc flash analysis
- Experience with photometric study
- Solid working knowledge of National Electrical Code requirements
- Willingness and desire to mentor junior/staff electrical engineers
- Excellent customer/client service skills
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to complete projects on time and on budget
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
