About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a technical reference for studies, programs, and projects related to wildlife
  • Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams in the development, execution, critical analysis, and review of environmental studies and wildlife monitoring programs
  • Plan, coordinate, and review terrestrial and aquatic fauna studies, including inventories, monitoring, rescue and displacement, baseline assessments, impact assessments, and environmental programs for the biotic environment
  • Develop, review, and improve methodologies, procedures, and technical guidelines for wildlife and biodiversity
  • Prepare, review, and validate technical reports, opinions, plans, environmental programs, and environmental impact studies
  • Support technical and commercial proposals by defining scopes, methodologies, team sizing, effort estimates, and strategic opportunities
  • Conduct data analyses, statistical analyses, and interpretation of environmental results
  • Prepare technical and executive presentations for clients, environmental agencies, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Liaise with clients, environmental agencies, universities, research centers, and industry experts
  • Promote the sharing of technical knowledge and professional development
  • Monitor scientific advances, market trends, and innovations in biodiversity conservation and environmental management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Biology
  • Experience preparing and conducting environmental studies related to wildlife
  • Demonstrated experience planning, conducting, and technically reviewing environmental studies involving terrestrial and aquatic fauna
  • Experience with environmental permitting projects in mining, energy, infrastructure, logistics, industrial, or sanitation sectors
  • Experience preparing technical reports, environmental opinions, and executive presentations
  • Experience developing technical scopes, methodologies, and commercial proposals for environmental projects
  • Track record of technical leadership and coordination of multidisciplinary teams
  • Advanced knowledge of wildlife, ecology, biodiversity, nature conservation, and environmental impact assessment
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation applicable to federal, state, and municipal environmental permitting
  • Familiarity with environmental agency guidelines and environmental management best practices
  • Knowledge of Brazil’s major biomes, associated ecosystems, and faunal groups relevant to environmental permitting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data analysis, indicator development, applied statistics, and environmental database management
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
  • Master’s degree in Zoology, Ecology, Biodiversity Conservation, or a related field is desirable
  • Additional qualifications include postgraduate studies, specialization, or training in Ecology, Biodiversity Conservation, Zoology, Wildlife Management, or Environmental Permitting
  • Training or experience in statistical analysis, geoprocessing, ecological modeling, or project management
