About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage multiple industrial wastewater design and construction projects from concept design to design/build
  • Prepare and manage solicitations and vendor, supplier, and General Contractor selection processes
  • Oversee project design within budget and schedule
  • Develop design meetings, monitor design progress, facilitate decision-making, prepare review comments, and facilitate value engineering workshops
  • Organize or lead pre-construction meetings and participate in weekly construction meetings
  • Visit sites to monitor construction progress
  • Process ASIs/RFIs, review and process invoices, negotiate change orders, prepare contract amendments, and conduct project close-out activities
  • Prepare monthly project status and budget reports; monitor schedules, budgets, risks, cost baselines, and change orders
  • Provide on-site construction QA when necessary
  • Review subcontractor schedules and recommend corrective actions for critical-path delays
  • Lead site civil design and permitting efforts for industrial wastewater projects
  • Ensure planning, design, and permitting comply with contracts, specifications, applicable codes, and Arcadis quality and safety standards
  • Provide technical expertise as an SME, design leader, QA/QC reviewer, or technical advisor
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff
  • Work with clients to determine needs, deliver solutions, and grow client relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 9+ years of Senior Project Manager experience in the design and construction industry
  • Experience working on projects in North Carolina
  • Ability to work on and oversee multiple projects
  • Ability to visit project sites on occasion
  • Professional accreditation in a relevant discipline (Construction Management, Cert. Construction Administrator, Cert. Construction Manager) or related project experience
  • Civil Engineering degree
  • Strong technical skills related to project software
  • Commitment to Health and Safety
  • Valid Driver’s License
