About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage multiple design and construction projects for clients, ranging from mechanical sediment removal to hydraulic/mechanical removal, material processing, water treatment, and restoration
  • Prepare and manage cost estimates and proposals for sediment and environmental remediation projects
  • Develop self-perform estimates and work with specialty subcontractors on proposals
  • Participate in project design and provide constructability reviews
  • Assist with planning and execution programs
  • Provide value engineering reviews
  • Organize and/or lead pre-construction meetings
  • Participate in weekly construction meetings
  • Visit project sites and monitor construction progress
  • Process ASIs/RFIs
  • Review and process Contractor and A/E pay applications
  • Review and negotiate change order requests
  • Prepare contract amendments
  • Prepare monthly project status reports
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and risk management activities
  • Maintain document control files
  • Support project close-out activities
  • Provide monthly budget reports documenting completion status and progress
  • Establish and maintain cost baselines and schedule updates
  • Provide cost information for timely, informed decisions
  • Manage and oversee all change orders
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 10+ years of experience working on environmental remediation projects, with a focus on sediment/marine projects
  • 10+ years of Project Manager experience in the environmental construction industry
  • Experience working on projects throughout the US
  • Ability to work on and oversee multiple projects
  • Required to visit project sites
  • Professional accreditation in a relevant discipline (Construction Management, Cert. Construction Administrator, Cert. Construction Manager) or related project experience
  • Strong technical skills related to cost estimating and scheduling software
  • 40 hour HAZWOPER training
  • Commitment to Health and Safety
  • Valid Driver’s License
